A Year with C.S. Lewis: Daily Readings from His Classic Works
Review by Sue@spiritualbookclub.com on 2007-12-08
C.S. Lewis at first glance seems to have been an old curmudgeon, an Oxford don and Cambridge professor, but he had this amazing interior life, a fascinating view of life, faith, etc. "But the truth is God has not told us what His arrangements about the other people are," he writes. In this book, his writing points out how: "You are, in fact, still human." He highlights his own, and humanity's foibles.
But, mainly, this is a collection of gems, at least one dropped per page. It's a great book to give as a gift. If you've never read Lewis, give this gift to yourself. |
