New and Selected Poems

Mary Oliver does such a fine job as a poet
of helping us see things anew. In her poem, "Some Questions You Might Ask," she herself asks, "Is the soul solid, like iron? Or is it tender and breakable, like the wings of a moth in the beak of the owl?" Hers are accessible poems for those afraid of poetry... so give this volume a try! She won both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize for this. |
