The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda
Review by Vijay on 2005-02-05
Swami Vivekananda(1863-1902) represented Hinduism at the World's first Parliament of Religions in Chicago, in 1893. He became immensely popular and was subsequently invited to speak throughout America and Europe. "The complete works" contains the transcript of his recorded speeches, poems, writings and correspondences. His first two minute speech at the Parliament, entitled "Sisters and Brothers of America" does deserve special mention. Vivekananda's words have a special magnetism and still continue to inspire millions.
