The National. This Alt-Rock group has been surging up the charts for years now and this album is the reason behind it. Powerful with such grace, this album will take you on an adventure. You get deep into singer/songwriter Matt Berninger’s emotional state as this album encompasses many seasons of his life. From “Terrible Love’s” hollow melody to the bone-chilling imagery of “Runaway,” something in this album is going to resonate deeply with you, whatever stage of life you’re in. If you take the time to listen through this masterpiece in order, you’ll find it all leads up to the maestrocity of “England,” a gripping track that punches you right in the core, bringing the whole album together. If you’re interested in alternative rock or just a music junkie in general, you’ll find this collection well worth your time, and at the very least you’ll learn what the chart-topping band The National owes their popularity to. |
