Reading Together Since 1999

I once heard this cd described as "Asian Hip Hop," after seeing Anggun on "Sessions at West 54th." David Byrne was singing Anggun's praises and I love much of what David Byrne does (watch the David Byrne movie "True Stories" sometime for a kick). Anyway, Anggun's voice sounds a lot like Annie Lennox, but there are soulful Indonesian lyrics/melodies/etc. in here and, well, it works for me. I have it perpetually high in my cd stack, especially the song "Snow on the Sahara," which is a song with lyrics like I think God would sing to us, or does sing to us if we are listening :-)
